This series of work was inspired by Ms. Lauryn Hill and her album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill with focus on discovery of self and community. Even though we are all very different individuals, we all go through overlapping trials and tribulations that ultimately bring us closer together.
"It has a lot to do with finding out about your own aspirations and your own dreams, and not those dreams and those aspirations that some might have for you. I want to encourage all of those who are moving from one period to another, especially those graduating from one stage of life into another-to be strong, to be independent, to be positive, and to know that you can choose your own destiny and your own path." ~Ms. Lauryn Hill
